June 15, 2013 allowed former PM Steven Harper a political conversation with Canadians living in Montreal’s West Island about his federal Conservative government.
Harper appeared very happy with the large turnout of Conservative party support during his stopover in Montreal talking about his government programs for Canadians, and answering multitude of questions from the crowd.
It was a warm sunny Saturday and this was a diehard Conservative event by invitation only to see the Prime Minister of Canada speak, I was lucky to get an invite through my connections in the Conservative party.
This is my contribution for WP single word prompt:”CONVERSATION”.
Steven Harper has a huge smile after his achievement while addressing his supporters somewhere in the West Island of Montreal during the 2011 federal election. His Conservatives went on to win that election achieving a majority government. Despite our PM Harper’s valiant effort to reach out to voters in the West Island his party failed there however, as the picture shows he certainly satisfied his Conservative voting base that afternoon.
I was lucky to be invited by a friend to this event and snapped this shot along with a few others of our PM in action. My photo has been edited to give it a timely appearance of the past after all, it was four years ago.
