Le Grand Ensemble Jazz De Saint-Eustache symphony trombones contribute their unique sound on large stage in concert during the 2017 annual Montreal Jazz Festival.
This large mostly brass band accompanied with a piano and some string instruments provided the backup music for at least two singers, a crooner and a diva who sang several popular American classics from 1950’s.
The scene is a slightly overcast sunny 3 Pm on Thursday July 5, 2017 on the Rio Tinto Stage on Saint Catherine Street in the Quartier-des-Spectacles in front of hundreds of local fans and international visitors.

Moment of satisfaction apparent in member of Urban Science Brass Band dressed in white as he extends his arms out meanwhile, showing mile-wide smile on his face in midst of crowd.
The trombone player is part of the brass/hip-hop/soul U.B.S.B.B.troupe of about 100 that entertain locals and visiting fans to the 2017 Montreal International Jazz Festival at 5 PM each day having taken over from West Tranz troupe.
These cool cats arrive armed with an MC, vocalists, street brake dancers, and brass instrumentalists like our trombone player traveling from stop to stop in the Quartier-des-Spectacles belting out their unique energetic classical loops full of beats meanwhile, surrounded by excited “groupie” type fans.

Street Meat, your non-traditional trio band, playing an interesting variety of Americana, Bluegrass, Prog Rock, Rockabilly, and Twisted Ragtime melded with a touch of Old-time Gypsy Soul and Punk.
These three born buskers are comfortable playing almost everywhere and have toured many places from Montreal to São Paulo singing and playing their unique brand of irresistible music.
The scene is 5 PM, Thursday July 6, 2017, inside Place Heineken beer tent during the recent Montreal International Jazz Festival as these alley cats perform their gig in front of an excited crowd of fans and tourists.

Little Red Riding Hood’s unusual wicker basket contains critter visitors can see through slit port holes as she shows the basket to them while holding wolf tightly in crook of right arm.
Frankly the wolf looks dead, his rib cage crushed because his eyes seem bulging out and he remains limp under her arm meanwhile, that alleged critter inside basket Hood carries seems to draw smiles from sitting people as well as that man standing.
Little Red Riding Hood, wolf, and critter in basket all look fake to me then again, the whole story is just a fable this busker at the 2017 annual Montreal International Jazz Festival is simply having fun acting out to entertain visitors.
This my contribution for WP weekly photo challenge:”UNUSUAL”.
Scary acrobatics moxie keeps outdoor show by man-woman buskers team under control while hundreds of eyes remain trained on them while they perform during recent 2017 annual Montreal International Jazz Festival.
These circus grade professionals did their combination juggling and dangerous acrobatics act flawlessly while being admired by a large gathering of locals and many tourists in town for the festival.
The scene seems obvious, woman busker balances herself upside down on man busker’s back, the only thing keeping her from sliding off face first onto hard ground(concrete tiles) is both their arms crossing however, their determination to succeed makes it work.
This thrilling act is another in the series of “spectacles” happening in Montreal on its 375th anniversary while Canada celebrates 150 years under the direction of famed Liberal circus masters Justin Trudeau and Denis Coderre.

The woman in ball in water fountain caper happened in the Quartier-des-Spectacles Thursday July 6, 2017 during the 2017 Montreal International Jazz Festival and children loved it.
While nobody was expecting it a woman busker inside a huge clear plastic ball rolled in and onto the water fountain area where numerous young children enjoying a warm, humid, partly sunny day played while being watched by their parents.
Most children dressed in their bathing attire and some had their plastic toys with which to play while being drenched at times by the sudden spurting of water out of numerous holes in concrete tiles of the fountain area.
The young woman inside the ball rolled into the fountain area just as the water started to erupt amusing these children, their parents, and passersby with her antics.
What went through my mind is how she managed to perform inside that ball while CO2 accumulated from her normal breathing because I didn’t see any air-vents anywhere on her ball then again, there must have been some I guess.

Busker tongue tip balances a large quill in front of a large, very appreciative audience of locals and many international visitors in town last Thursday for the annual Montreal Jazz Festival.
The very professional man-woman buskers team skilled in circus work preformed their juggling and acrobatics act flawlessly outdoors sometimes risking the woman’s life with balancing maneuvers while having only a thin inch thick rubber mat laid down on solid concrete for safety.
Serious injury should one of them make a mistake ascertained however, these two apparently had Lady Luck as their friend while they fearlessly entertained their very amazed crowd.
My picture depicts part of the gathering watching some quill juggling work by the man while his woman partner, not shown, watched his performance.
