Controlled laughter between two members of Montreal Police force and founding member of West Island Blues Festival seems evident.

This picture taken mid-June 2015 shows Montreal Police members still wearing their famous red baseball hats, camouflage pants, and bulletproof vests with labor negotiation protest stickers plastered on them.

Dollard-des-Ormeaux councillor, Erroll Johnson, one of the founding members of the Blues Festival appears to enjoy joking with the policemen on that nice sunny afternoon.

Considering the often times strained relations between the mostly white French Canadian Montreal police and the growing black community, this picture depicts a positive attitude amongst everybody at least during the very popular annual event.

Moreover, the stretched out, years long, labor negotiation between Montreal administration and the Montreal Police Brotherhood contributed to increased tensions with the police and general public.

They say a bit of laughter helps people relax and let everything hang out especially during emotional times, this image seems to support that.
