Unlikely Sight

It’s very unlikely to sight an American WW2 fighter, scaled down size, buzzing over racks and racks of clothing inside an army surplus store on Saint Laurent boulevard near Saint Catherine street yet this picture is proof.

The authentic looking warplane is real enough although a little photo-editing in removing overhead chains and high-strength stainless steel wire that keeps it up makes things more interesting.

Come to think of it all this aircraft needs is the late John Belushi in the cockpit with his fat stodgy cigar, that bottled beer and squeaky little rubber ducky he had in that famous “1941” comedy movie.

This army surplus store is home to a collection of welded steel projects that include Davey Jones, R2D2 and Darth Vader of Star Wars to name a few.

The obviously very creative artist has used welding all sorts of discarded stuff some metal automotive parts as well as steel sheet metal, pipe, and plate to realize his goals.

This is my contribution for WP weekly photo challenge:”UNLIKELY”.
