Mary Queen Of The World Cathedral’s huge rotunda inner wall decoration composed of a myriad of all sorts of lines in this massive Catholic church replicating Saint Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.

The rotunda contains a large circle of Roman style ornate windows which act as an important light source to the surroundings below additionally, near the very top of the dome there is another smaller windowed circle.

Similar to Saint Peter’s Basilica, this cathedral has an enormous amount of gilding covering much of this dome as well as the huge altar, boarders of religious scenes, etc.

Entering Mary Queen Of The World is an awesome experience probably similar to being inside the massive church in Rome that people travel far to visit, many as a spiritual pilgrimage.

Considered a world heritage site, it is also said to be a mirror image of the Michael Angelo’s Saint Peter’s in Rome and it remains a true Canadian icon whether you are religious or not.

This is my contribution for WP weekly photo challenge:”LINES”.
