About to set, the sun’s intense, bright, light illuminates busy MacDonald-Cartier Bridge and immediate surrounds while traffic both vehicular and human carries on.
Grey, low-hanging, moisture-laden cloud band helps intensify the warm orange-yellow sunlight bathing everything else in sight.
The MacDonald-Cartier Bridge which spans the Ottawa river, a tributary of the mighty Saint
Laurence river is within close sight of Parliament which looms nearby.
Loss of daylight doesn’t seem to deter the traffic crossing over the bridge on this November day in 2015.
Close by, also crossing the same Ottawa river and running parallel to this bridge not shown, is a cantilever structure, the old Alexandra bridge.
We had just completed visiting several museums in and around the capital and stopped near the Ottawa river when I took this picture.
This is my contribution for WP weekly photo challenge:”RISE/SET”.
