The American crow has black, iridescent feathers and smaller in size from the common raven moreover, its customary Caaw!-Caaw!-Caaw! call is more distinct and less hoarse than latter.

Large and very intelligent for a birdbrain it feeds on almost everything edible its beady eyes spot from above, crows have an excellent vision missing very little.

Their methodical, patient, and unique flight style allows close observation of potential food sources.

This predatory bird typically feeds while on the ground eating earthworms, insects, seeds, small animals, other bird hatchlings eggs grabbed from nests, ripe berries and fruit, roadkill carrion, and garbage.

Crows are known also to make use of tools they fashion as an expedient way to extract a difficult edible morsel of food.

Additionally, crows are “team players” always ready to aid others when help is needed as well as being participating partners in crime their peers may be involved in.
