We found our beloved Boink visiting the local SPCA shortly after having mourned his predecessor Boris, another sweetie, who departed peacefully after about 20 years of service.
Losing Boink turned out to be emotionally hard something we never expected again because over years he become like a family member always there to support you in his own way during trying moments.
Losing a pet such as a cat or dog can be emotional because of our attachment with them especially if they have been with us for a long time.
The Boink as you can probably tell from my picture was a long hair Dachshund, a very lovable and extremely smart little rascal.
After 19 years poor old Boink, already blind form cataracts and his hearing also affected, was whimpering and for a few days he didn’t want to eat or drink anything so after trying to help him we noticed that lump on his lower jaw.
After visiting our local veterinarian we had our worst fears confirmed, Boink had cancer and would probably die in pain soon so we decided to put him to sleep.
This is my contribution for WP weekly photo challenge:”BELOVED”.
