Multitude of wild ducks swimming qualifies for variations on a theme in conformance to one suggestion for this week’s WP photo challenge.
The mallards and wood duck females, well it seems that most if not all are females populated West Island’s Centennial Park’s man-made artificial lake gathered in anticipation for bread crumbs or cereal bits some people illegally throw on the water.
This lake is a very popular place for both these waterfowl and also locals that visit the park from spring to late autumn to enjoy nature in the midst of urban living.
These ducks normally leave for warmer climate before the winter storms arrive however, some having been accustomed to easy handout food from irresponsible humans end up dying their frozen carcasses being discovered during spring.
This my contribution for WP weekly photo challenge:”VARIATIONS ON A THEME”.
