Brown, tan, and black are colors obvious on plaster bust found in Montreal’s Christ Church Cathedral depicting religious figure perhaps that of Jesus Christ or Saint John the Baptist.
Several years ago after admiring the striking Anglican Gothic Revival architecture of this landmark church located next door to what used to be the old Eaton’s department store on Saint Catherine street I decided to visit it.
The interior of this church as its exterior, is fascinating and historical with all sorts of very interesting artifacts from Montreal’s glorious past moreover, this structure is still functions as active place of worship.
Today the Cathedral is melded with a modern multi-story glass and steel office skyscraper joined at its back-end compared to when it was first erected by wealthy Protestant Montrealers almost 200 years ago.
This is my contribution for WP single word prompt:”BLACK”.
