Serious or fatal road accident is possible if any or all the several critical control parts depicted in picture should fail while you are driving this modern car at normal speeds.

Let us begin at left side of picture with the CV Joint, that brass-color steel rod with what looks like a bunch of black disks attached to it by a chrome color strap clamp.

Should one of these fail, one of the car wheels would seize and or come off resulting in loss of control and lots of sparks from front end of car and perhaps, serious or fatal accident.

Next, we have the coil and shock absorber assembly which provides stability and keeps the car tire from rubbing on the fender moreover, if that screw and nut connecting this assembly to the car frame comes off then the  coil-shock unit would probably break off, cause lots of sparks, and maybe puncture the front tire resulting in a crash.

Finally, on the right of the coil and shock absorber assembly and partly obscured by it,  bolted to car engine block, is the power steering motor unit, which if it failed would leave the car driver helpless because of loss of steering resulting in perhaps a fatal accident.

Also shown in this picture are hydraulic oil lines, those silvery thin tubes, that if severed could cause loss of control because their oil is needed for example, in power steering .

This my contribution for WP single word prompt:”CRITICAL”.
