Alexis Nihon Plaza corner situated at the intersection of Saint Catherine Street and Atwater Avenue is part of huge black colored glass and prefab concrete commercial and residential complex located at west end of Montreal.
My picture depicts the south-east end however, looking towards the north-east end, or the right side of this image, not shown here, looms Mount Royal with its famous metal cross on top of it.
The Plaza houses a maze of department stores and fast-food chain eateries on several floor levels and the bottom level connects to Montreal’s subway system’s Atwater station on its Green line.
Also, hidden by the north-east end and behind those trees, is the famous Dawson College campus in what used to be once the Montreal’s Catholic Grey Nuns mother house.
Atwater is a favorite station because I liked to frequent some of its stores in the past that are no longer there moreover, I like using this famed subway station whenever I am traveling back home after walking from the Quartier-des-Spectacles following one of Montreal’s many summer festival events.
This is my contribution for WP weekly photo challenge:”CORNER”.
