Mummified remains are just shadow of self, the delicious yellow-skinned banana that once was, and what neglect and time did to it in an obscure corner of the kitchen’s food pantry.
Months ago perhaps, late in the Fall, I bought some at the local supermarket, brought home it along with members of its kin, a bunch of them that I stored until needed.
I love a banana in my cereal for breakfast or as a delightful treat later in the day unfortunately, this banana became lost somehow sliding into that corner and remaining hidden from view.
Recently, a few weeks ago, when I searched for something in that same pantry, I moved a big tomato can exposing our dried up buddy all curled up alone in that corner.
My reaction immediately was I felt bad thinking how wonderful it would have been to eat after running out of his delicious buddies.
This is my contribution for WP weekly photo challenge:”SHADOW”.
