=======================================================================================================
Ancient surgical craft practiced by surgeon-medical officer mid-nineteen century entailed using a tool kit such as the one depicted, which contains 25 essential items ensuring that no matter the situation encountered the user was prepared for the task.

Shown are items used to amputate limbs, pull teeth, remove mangled lead projectiles and shrapnel out of the wounded, and those used to sew up the patient after field surgery.

This is a “compact” tool kit carried by the surgeon-medical officer in the mid-nineteen century and as the exhibit writing says was like that used to treat a wounded Canadian officer, a certain Captain Francois Dezery probably in the British-American War of 1812 during a skirmish at Chateauguay, in the province of Quebec, where invading Americans were effectively and decisively routed.

This my contribution for WP single word prompt:”CRAFT”.
