Dutch culture is very evident in this picture depicting selected architectural icons of related to the city of Amsterdam and the Netherlands.

It is also a part of her ethnic background and featured now in her “Storyscapes” Solo Exhibit.

This mostly black and white photography collage composition employing acrylic paints is one of the works of Canadian artist Denise Buisman Pilger, originally from the Netherlands, who is steadily gaining international recognition for it.

While visiting the Viva Vida Art Gallery in Pte Claire on Friday I spotted a few familiar faces also instantly recognizing Denise who was exhibiting her new Storyscapes collection of various cities at this gallery.

Because photography is my preferred medium allowing me much creativity and goes extremely well with my writing I immediately took a liking to what Denise had done and I love it the more after viewing all her works.

Her wonderful photography containing familar landmarks and heritage sites in numerous international cities immediately captures our attention to her skillful use of graphic black and white complimented with a smidgen of color to accentuate the images.

This my contribution for WP single word prompt:”CULTURE”.
