Learning to paint in water-color is rewarding however, it takes hard work and experience for wonderful work like this one pictured.

The work shown is one I found appealing to photograph at a recent art student vernissage or exhibition.

This particular student artist however, is not, I found out, a newbie at this sort of thing and the experience is evident compared to some of the others in the group taking the art course that I had the opportunity to see.

I received an invitation to this exhibition at the local YMCA to see the fruits of hard work somebody I know who just took the art course.

What I saw was wonderful work by all the participants including my friend and the artist who did the work depicted in my blog post.

This particular work caught my attention and is why I included it here for WP single word prompt:”PAINT”.

  1. I have recently tried using watercolor and it is definitely not as easy as it looks 🙂 Lovely image.

    1. Thank you for commenting and especially from experience in trying to produce a work in the medium. I too have done some however, I never took any art courses for it yet I know from experience that it is hard work to be great in it.

  2. I really admire good watercolorists. It takes such a light and sure hand.. and knowing when to stop.
